Pediatric Occupational Therapist Job at Easter Seals Superior CA
We are seeking Occupational Therapists in the greater Sacramento area and also Stockton to evaluate pediatric clients with physical and/or developmental delays, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy services and parent training designed to maximize client and family functioning. Serve as a member of the Pediatric Services team as a Full-Time, benefited therapist.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Minimum educational requirement is a diploma from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
- One (1) year of paid experience as a staff level Occupational Therapist is preferred.
- Experience in the evaluation and treatment of infants, toddlers, and/or young children is preferred but not necessary.
- Licenses/Certificates:
- Registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed as an occupational therapist in the state of California.
- Position requires possession of current certificates in Adult CPR with AED and Infant/Child CPR and Basic First Aid from an approved provider.
- Position requires possession of a current valid California driver's license, proof of insurance and a driving record that meets the standards of the agency.
- Position requires a current fingerprint clearance and background check through Department of Justice and FBI.
- Position requires pre-placement and back assessment.
- Position requires proof of negative TB test within the past twelve (12) months.

- Develop individual treatment goals, objectives and plans based upon the initial evaluation, and update plans as needed.
- Develop home and school programs and train family members and school personnel to assist children with practicing assigned therapeutic activities as appropriate.
- Instruct clients, family members and school personnel in the proper and safe usage of adaptive equipment.
- Assist in the coordination of treatment and make appropriate referrals as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer services, both internally and externally.
Documentation:
- Record client sessions, responses and progress.
- Develop and maintain progress reports and documentation in coordination with the Pediatric team.
- Attend IFSP, IEP, and/or IPP meetings as requested/available.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Walk, sit, stand and lift or carry items not weighing more than 30 lbs.
- Push children in wheelchairs and safely lift and transfer individuals.
- Use hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Reach for items, crouch or kneel.
- Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close to far vision with depth perception and visual accuracy.
- Safely move and position large mats and therapy equipment as needed for client therapy.
