- Must be open to working a possible rotating schedule of evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Working in the urgent care there is a shift differential (when applicable) for working evenings, weekends and holidays.
- If you are open to being considered for our Star Squad Ambulatory Float Pool.
- As a member of our STAR Squad you will also receive premium pay at $3.50/hr.
- Rotating shifts may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Travel between clinics is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Patient Services Specialist I creates a positive patient experience by consistently exceeding expectations in customer service and patient care, by coordinating clerical and medical activities of a healthcare team, patient registration activities, and facilitating access to UTMB services for new and returning patients.
Our ideal candidate will have medical office support experience including:
- Patient scheduling
- Insurance Verification
- Assisting patients
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Patient Service Specialist I:
- Bachelor's Degree and no experience.
or
- High School or equivalent and two years customer service and/or clerical experience.
SALARY RANGE: The salary range for this position is $15.38/hr - $23.08/hr, commensurate with experience.
