Job Description

A Painter is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Preparing metal for painting by sanding spatter and rust and wiping down steel to remove oils and cutting fluids
• Applying paint to completed production jobs and sub-assemblies.
• Mixing paint properly
• Using correct paint equipment settings and adjustments
• Performing daily maintenance routines on paint equipment
• Identifying and masking areas that are not to be painted
• Utilizing proper paint application techniques
• Inspecting paint jobs for quality problems such as runs and missed areas
• Maintaining paint both in clean working order
• Completing necessary paperwork
• Other duties as assigned
