SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: This position performs all duties in the Packing Dept.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Keep supervisor apprised of time required to complete projects as they are assigned.

• Check accuracy of job orders.

• Follow department’s standard operating procedure.

• Follow company’s policies and procedures.

• Checks goods against shipping documents and authorizations.

• Packs goods for shipment according to specifications, equipment characteristics, transportation methods and routes.

• Verifies identification, quantity, and quality of product.

• Post package weight and size.

• Maintains inventory of cartons, tapes, crates, clamps, foams, and other shipping material.

• Performs other tasks as required by team lead.

• Other duties as assigned by team lead and supervisor/manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

· No experience required, but preferred.

· Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities proficiently.

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.

· Good communication skills.

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
