Packaging Engineering Co-Op
for our company’s headquarters in Bridgeton, Missouri. If you possess:
Major studies in Packaging, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering- Basic familiarity with 2D and 3D modeling software
The Packaging Engineer Co-Op will provide support to Manufacturing to improve operational efficiencies for Hunter Engineering's packaging process. Our goal is to provide an experience that will be an important, effective first step in the career of a future engineer.

Duration: August 2023 - Dec 2023 (Full-Time)
What you will do:
- Analyze and standardize existing packaging drawings and documentation.
- Design and develop new packaging concepts that meet functionality and cost requirements.
- Work with 3D modeling program as well as 2D impact CAD to draw new and existing packaging items.
- Facilitate plant trials of new packaging materials and/or equipment.
- Adapt/modify current lines/equipment to new processing applications.
- Troubleshoot and problem analysis related to production, products and materials.
- Work with other departments (Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc.) and outside customers and suppliers in support of projects and departmental packaging goals and objectives.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- Studies in Packaging Science, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum 2.5 GPA (must be on resume)
- Candidates must have at least a basic familiarity with 2D and 3D modeling software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior intern or Co-Op experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred
- CAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook experience required
