Outpatient Therapist Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the program Clinical Supervisor, this position provides therapy and related clinical services to consumers and their families in the Outpatient Clinic. We have openings for full time or part time in our Washington, Bridgeville, Monroeville, and Wexford clinics.

Outpatient Therapist Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy with child and/or adult consumers and their families. May provide education/psychological testing as relevant or needed.
• Conduct initial intake and assessment of consumers.
• Participate in treatment planning with supervisory and consultant staff.
• Establish and implement time sensitive and effective treatment objectives with each consumer and their family when appropriate.
• Respond to emergency consultation and/or crisis as needed or required.
• Assist and/or teach consumers interactive skills to successfully interface with community involvements such as schools and other agencies.
• Inform, instruct, and assist consumers concerning the access of appropriate community resources.
• Identify, develop, and coordinate additional supportive and case management services as relevant to assigned consumers.
• Maintains documentation for involvement with and contacts made for consumers. Adheres to documentation requirements established by internal policies and procedures, state/county guidelines, licensing requirements and other applicable guidelines. Complete all clinical documentation in a manner that is timely, accurate, and meets audit-tested requirements.
• Track and complete funding authorizations and extensions in a manner that permits continuous, reimbursable sessions for assigned consumers.

Outpatient Therapist Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s Degree in a clinical discipline including, but not limited to Social Work, Psychology, Counseling and mental health clinical experience
• Professional license preferred: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children, adolescent, or young adults with mental health/behavioral health disorders
• Act 33/34 Clearances and DHS FBI Clearance
