R.L. Winston Rod Company & Bauer Fly Reels are growing, and we are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team. This impactful role provides inspired leadership for our rod and reel building teams and is integral to the continued growth of our company. You’ll be spearheading continual process improvement to ensure we can meet the increasing demand for our products. If you’re also inventive and meticulous, we’d like to meet you. We’re always looking to lead the industry through innovation, and the Operations Manager will be focusing on maintaining quality while improving efficiency and output in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

· Manage fly rod and reel production to meet inventory requirements and warranty department needs

· Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and implementing safety programs

· Improve the integration of multiple production departments

· Manage warehouse flow, process, and efficiency

· Collaborate on material purchasing and inventory control

• Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing targets
• Oversee maintenance of production facility and equipment
• Analyze, and provide solutions to, manufacturing challenges or problems

· Examine financial data and use the information to improve profitability

· Work with sales teams to help set and meet daily, quarterly, and annual goals

· Play a significant role in long-term planning, project status reporting, and implementing process improvement

· Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs

· Recruits, trains, develops, rewards, and recognizes personnel to achieve targeted strategies and goals

· Assists in new product launches, production and engineering improvements, product testing

· Manage development and execution of manufacturing plans including prototype and production, build schedules, material requirements, factory schedules

· Actively participate in budgeting and forecasting material needs for production planning

Requirements and skills

· Three or more years of experience in manufacturing and operations

· Expertise in safe and efficient operations of a manufacturing facility

· Demonstrated track record of creating and maintaining an environment of continual process improvement

· Outstanding organizational skills

· Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations

· Strong budget development and oversight skills

· Proven record of employee management and building effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

· Strong understanding of IT solutions
