Operations Coordinator Job at Pacific Corrugated Pipe Co
This position is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the day-to-day activities for the plant location as well as supporting the management teams in attaining the local and corporate objectives.
Essential Functions
- Generate and manage production orders, material requisitions, purchase orders, customer pick-up tickets and bill of lading (BOL)
- Maintain, update, and verify the production schedule based on order demand and material availability.
- Coordinate with Operations Manager & VP of Operations with tracking & ordering major raw materials required for production.
- Coordinate production schedules with the Plant Manager, which are directly related, or have an impact on shipments scheduled by the Plant Manager.
- Monitor inventory levels and complete monthly cycle counts
- Complete data entry into the system daily and maintain documents and report
- Maintain & manage quality assurance program including certification upkeep with agencies
- Review and confirm the production plan with the sales team to ensure information in the system is current
- Under Operations Manager review, support inventory management by monitoring and purchasing supplies required for production and sales
- Punctual and reliable attendance
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be added at management’s discretion

Work Environment
Regular work schedules. However, overtime may be required if necessary, to complete projects or specialized training. This position works majority in a climate-controlled office and occasionally in outdoor conditions including extreme heat or cold. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in the shop and yard area.
Physical Demands
This position is defined as Medium. Work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and up to 50 pounds of force occasionally using any combination of body, hands, fingers, arms, legs, or feet to complete work. Walking and standing and sitting to a significant degree.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 1+ years’ experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
- 1+ years’ experience with inventory management
- 1+ years’ experience in shipping
- 1+ years’ experience in production
- 1+ years’ in a manufacturing environment
