Your day to day:
- Review undergraduate applications, transcripts test scores and related materials to determine eligibility for admission to PFW.
- Input data both internally and externally regarding admission procedures and requirements.
- Process and monitor application process.
- Analyze undergraduate applications for beginning and transfer students.
- Utilize PFW admission codes in Banner and Slate.
- Analyze high school and college/university transcripts to determine validity of official transcripts.
- Use electronic transcripts services such as Parchment, Student Clearing House, and EScript.
- Scan documents, including daily mail received, into Slate and match documents to correct student record.
- Run daily queries (up to 30) and input data into Slate database.
- Change majors, withdraw students, make corrections to student profiles or school profiles, enter GPA and test scores in Slate and Banners.
- Analyze re-entry and intercampus transfer applications to determine eligibility for admissions.
- Approve or deny applications based on predetermined criteria standard.
- Process academic department approvals and communicate with departments regarding special circumstances of admission.
- After six months, undergo training to run the data feed that transfers data from Slate to Banner.
- Other duties as assigned to maintain a high level of efficiency regarding processing, file formation and system integrity.
- Internal and External Communications
- Serve as contact for academic departments and student services offices for the Admissions operations email to explain admissions procedures and requirements.
- Reconcile Cognos reports, and upload Bursar spreadsheets into Slate while monitoring throughout each day.
