Non-CDL Truck Driver

Georgia-Pacific is seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Non-CDL Yard Truck Driver. Georgia-Pacific’s Fort Smith facility uses state of the art technology to manufacture Dixie® plates in a progressive production environment. This position starts at $20.56/hour with benefits. This is for the night shift role, 7pm to 7am.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Operate a terminal truck (Yard Dog) safely and efficiently.
• Drive the yard dog to a designated location using designated routes on and around the property of Georgia Pacific.
• Deliver product safely by understanding and following SOP’s, maintain professional appearance of both yourself and the equipment and demonstrate initiative
• Problem solving and attention to detail needed all assigned tasks.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations of both Georgia-Pacific and DOT to safely operate the company yard dog
• Maintain a clean driving record while providing exceptional customer focus to both internal and external customers.
• Ensure that documentation (Bill of Ladings, DVIRs) is completed accurately and timely and the logistics team remains informed of any potential customer issues, complaints, incidents, injuries and vehicle problems.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Six (6) months of experience, related to driving yard dog trailers or larger shuttling equipment or similar driving experience

What Will Put You Ahead

• Two (2) years of experience driving yard dog trailers or larger shuttling equipment
• Two (2) years of experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation functions
• Two (2) years of troubleshooting experience with equipment
