Duties: The Network Engineer will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the

design, implementation and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable

operation of the organization’s IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining,

supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communications

assets. The Network Engineer is responsible for the LAN, WAN and SAN infrastructure as well as

communication servers and circuits. The Network Engineer will work with vendors and consultants

to support both internal and cloud infrastructure. The Network Engineer will work with the Security

team as needed to maintain network security related policies and procedures. The Network

Engineer will support members of the Infrastructure team to resolve end user hardware and software

problems in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in

computer information sciences, network security, network engineering or a closely related field and

two years’ experience in the management of network administration; or an Associate degree in

computer information sciences, network security, network engineering or a closely related field and

four years’ experience in the management of network administration. High School diploma with six

years of experience in the management of network administration

Preferred Experience (3+years): TCP/IP topology & security methodologies, routing protocols,

WAN interfaces, EMC VNX, Data Domain, HP Servers, Nimble storage, StoreOnce, Cisco ASA, Palo

Alto firewalls, UCS, Cisco switches/routers/access points, fiber SAN switches. Cisco CUCM, CUCS

& VOIP Telephony, Network Account Maintenance. Experience with Tier-2 support with incident

tracking, escalation of problems to outside hardware/software vendors as required, customer

service skills, good documentation skills. Experience in the use of AWS and AZURE environments.

Additional skills: VMWare 6.0-6.7, VCenter & SRM, MS Server 2016, & 2019 (AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS,

NTFS, GP, DFS, and VSS), MS Windows 10, Office365, XMedius Fax, Mimecast SPAM, and ZixMail

Encryption, Veeam Backup Software, Bitlocker, Freshdesk, Xerox Copiers, Apple ipad/iPhone, WIFI

and end user support, Server backup and recovery plans, Upgrades of OS application packages,

Office 365, and server administration would be very beneficial to this position.
