POSITION SUMMARY:
To operate, process, setup and troubleshoot lining, molding, and all auxiliary equipment assigned by rotation schedule or supervisor. To properly perform order, color and material changes and machine start-ups/shut-downs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Processes and troubleshoots machines to produce quality parts;
Perform order change: enter startup and shutdown into IQMS system;
Performs color changes; notifies supervisor of color change status; clean tips if necessary
Verifies raw materials comply with work requirements.
Samples and visually inspects production, records quality problems and puts product on hold by entering process correction.
Informs supervisor of substandard production quality.
Checks material status and calls for more materials if necessary.
Checks that all machine sensors and guards are operating properly.
Informs maintenance and supervisor of machine problems and fills out maintenance work requests.
Cleans machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc., clean filters, scheduled sanitation duties;
Fills and empties color and virgin hoppers;
Segregates scrap material;
Relieves other PS during breaks;
Backup PS for other shifts; Covers for absences/vacations on other shifts.
Follow all GMP guidelines;
Adheres to all safety rules and procedures and Code of Conduct.
Completes necessary documentation for all assigned machines. Follow manufacturing work Order (BOM)
Any other duties as assigned by Supervision/Management
This is a safety sensitive position
Fill out repair forms for mechanical repairs
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attends Green Area Meetings;
Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures;
Sorts through and visually inspects rejected cartons;
Backup: Off Shift PS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Pushing or Pulling (5-25 lbs typically 40-70% of the day) - broom, scrap boxes/Gaylords; (25-60 lbs typically 15-40% of the day) - color barrels, liner material.
- Lifting or Carrying (5-25 lbs typically 0-15% of the day) - scrap material; (25-50 lbs typically 15-40% of the day) - buckets of color
- Simple Grasping (15-70%)
- Firm Grasping (15-70%)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
EQUIPMENT USED:
Screwdriver, hammer, Allen wrenches, calipers, scales, manual pallet jack, channel locks, torch, welding gloves, face shield, forklift. Other equipment as assigned.

SUPERVISION:

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
Good verbal and written English
EXPERIENCE:
Prior Molding experience preferred, Mechanical aptitude required
