As a Patient Advocacy representative, you will work accounts escalated by our imaging centers and outpatient providers through our internal ticketing system, ServiceNow (“SNOW”). Primary responsibilities include:
Required Experience/Knowledge: Medical billing experience and clinical knowledge, thorough understanding of how insurance processes medical claims, proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook), ability to toggle between multiple computer systems and sources of information, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, excellent customer service skills and independent worker with a problem-solving mindset
Preferred or Desired Experience/Knowledge: Experience collaborating with multiple payers (government and commercial), denials, account resolution, customer service etc..
Education: High School diploma or equivalent education/experience
Work Environment: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day; high volume telephone customer service.
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment, multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copiers, printers, etc.

- Provide patients, Site personnel and/or insurance companies with accurate information regarding the account status and resolve any questions, process payments, and follow up on accounts in a timely manner
- Work online payer systems to check for claim status and eligibility as needed
- Maintain productivity goals and meet deadlines set by the Patient Advocacy Manager and related SOPs.
- Handle all escalations in a professional and timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
