Medical Assistant, Experienced Job at North Coast Family Medical Group
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to assist our physicians and physician associates while in clinic with patients, to handle the clinical administrative work and to assist in our call center as needed. Although a certification would be helpful, we are a great teaching office and are willing to educate and train motivated and enthusiastic individuals, who are willing to go over and above for our patients’ care.
Responsibilities
Providing overall assistance to physicians and physician associates
Rooming patients, including obtaining vitals, and taking a medical history
Assisting with various procedures, like excisions, biopsies, colposcopies
Scribing for the MD/PA, entering pertinent medical history and the chief complaint into our EHR system, Epic
Administering adult and pediatric injections and immunizations
Performing lab procedures, such as quick strep, flu swabs and urine dips
Rotating into the Call Center to assist with scheduling and incoming messages
Performing vision and hearing tests, EKGs, wound care and wrapping, suture removal, spirometry and nebulizer treatments, as well as other procedures for which we will train
Scheduling follow-up appointments and calling patients with lab and diagnostic testing results.
Every Medical Assistant must maintain cleanliness of their work area and is responsible for stocking supplies as needed. Looking for personable applicants with first-rate customer service skills. Excellent teamwork skills are vital.
Requirements:
Have Clinical Medical Assistant Experience (Site specific training will be provided.)
Have Electronic Medical Records experience, Epic preferred.
Provide detail oriented and empathetic care
This is a full time, on-site position. This position requires either Covid-19 verification of vaccination and boosters. Per CDC mandates as a healthcare setting, we require staff and patients to be fully masked while onsite.

Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Experience
- Clinical experience in a primary care setting within the last 5 years
- Electronic Medical Records experience, eClinicalWorks (ECW) preferred Site specific training will be provided. Candidates must be willing to work some evenings.
