Summary
Responsible for maintaining and supporting all standardized master files in the ERP Supply Chain Database. This includes the Item Master and related tables, pricing contracts, classifications, and unit of measure data.

Essential Job Functions
  • Serves as a single point of contact for all requests for item file additions, changes, and deletions and all Vendor Price Agreement price changes at the request of internal customers throughout the system
  • Researches all item requests for duplications, accuracy, format, and completeness; performs necessary research and validation to ensure accuracy of the data
  • Responsible for maintaining a system-wide uniform coding and classification system for the Item Master and related tables within the ERP system, including but not limited to naming conventions, coding conventions, abbreviations, nomenclature rules, etc.
  • Follows appropriate policies, procedures, and workflow for centralized item files and associated table maintenance
  • Works with sourcing team members in coordinating and loading of price agreements to insure completeness, proper alignment to manufacturer/division and vendor, and data accuracy
  • Performs maintenance as it relates to maintaining CDM data within the Item Master; provides feedback and identifies issues to ensure proper charging of billable supplies
  • Understands, researches, and maintains knowledge on healthcare industry standards and best practices as it relates to the Item Master and other core data sets
  • Works with vendors and manufacturers for clarification related to product information (i.e. product description, product number, product packaging, catalog number format, etc.)
  • Works with local facilities and markets in clarifying issues related to Item Master additions, changes, deletions, and the Vendor Price Agreement additions, changes and deletions
  • Assist in providing communications to other parties to facilitate the proper usage of ERP item data; opportunities for improvements, and knowledge sharing
  • Provides required reporting requirements as directed; ensures accuracy and completeness in all submissions
  • Develops and maintains positive, professional relationships with all external and internal customers, staying abreast of current customer needs

Education Qualifications
Required Minimum Education: Associates Degree
Specialty/Major: Technical, Business or Healthcare related field plus a minimum of 2 years healthcare experience
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 2 Years working in healthcare or other industrial supply chain
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Basic skills with data management; MS Office products; Healthcare terminology and supply product usage; product classification systems (UNSPSC, UPN, GTIN, etc.)
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Strong familiarity with healthcare systems terminology; understanding of logistics processes. ERP system knowledge, medium to advance database skills; advance Excel skills
  • Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.
