The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the governance of marketing processes and technologies to optimize department efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires an understanding of how systems interconnect to integrate data between platforms and digital channels, driving business performance. This individual will be responsible for vetting the architectural strategy, new infrastructure and technology, administering the DAM system, serving as asset librarian and curator, managing the source of truth for all product data, and lead all analytics and reporting across key marketing platforms.

This position requires expertise in Data and Analytics, Content Management, Project and Process Management, Product Information Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Serve as super-user for variety of digital marketing tools.
  • Assist with the implementation of new marketing technology rollouts including training and user adoption
  • Lead testing in sandbox environments and correct any issues that arise
  • Relationship management with internal technology users and vendors
  • Communicate and collaborate with IT teams daily
  • Support Digital Marketing team in optimization of product content on digital shelf
  • Support systems integrations & optimize current or new technology investments
  • Deploy new marketing technologies and projects to support future roadmap
  • Document best practices in a consumable fashion to drive re-use and scale in within marketing
  • Work with 3rd party providers to provide support for marketing technologies
  • Partner other solution architects to provide scalable and adaptable architectural solutions
  • Responsible for overseeing the governance of marketing processes and technologies
  • Introduce better ways of working which help business partners better prioritize, and deploy resources to marketing projects aligned with strategic priorities
  • Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent technology framework is applied across the organization
  • Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve information flows
  • Digital asset Management (naming, storage, and maintenance of the usage rights of the related files. Management and monitoring of the access and use of digital assets, ensuring brand consistency, compliance, and copyrights)
  • Develop, manage, and use tools for measuring the success of digital marketing programs. Creating and delivering analyses through data visualizations and dashboards from sources that integrate and aggregate marketing data.
  • Evaluate the multichannel impact of marketing activities on engagement, sales, and ROI

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. Preferred disciplines being Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Management, Project Management, Information Technology or related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management, required.
  • Experience in positions of increasing responsibility with a consumer-packaged goods company.
  • Strong leadership experience with proven ability to drive results and maximize performance of a team
  • Effective critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), ticketing systems, project management tools, Product Information Management (PIM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) skills.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and tools required for data collection, management, synthesis, and transformation
  • Working knowledge of markup and programming languages
  • Good knowledge of marketing stacks, vendors, integrators, and resellers.
  • Understands system capabilities and finds ways to improve system performance.
  • Familiar with key IT / infrastructure solutions (PIM, DAM, CRM, CMS)
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to develop positive relationships when part of a dynamic and cross-functional team.
  • Able to develop a new way of thinking to drive innovative ideas.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Suite: including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Requires travel, up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and guidance to Marketing Operations employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
