We are looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to support our Marketing Department.
Summary
Adding a new role to the marketing department in an effort to improve manufacturing partner and customer experience with D&H. The primary responsibility is to analyze data related to marketing activity, including direct mail and digital marketing efforts. The Marketing Data Analyst will work with the marketing teams to provide insights to help in the creation of marketing proposals and strategic plans. The analyst will help to identify and analyze trends and the effectiveness of marketing activities on vendor performance. The analyst will work in support of both our US and Canadian marketing teams.
Successful candidates will not necessarily come from a pure web analytics background but possess an excellent, in-depth level of knowledge and experience in digital marketing with demonstrated success in identifying and validating strategic and tactical marketing objectives. Proficiency in working within a marketing/business intelligence environment paired with strategic and analytical management of digital campaigns is essential. The role will also involve conducting conversion optimization consultancies, with the aim of improving efficiency in clients’ marketing strategies and increasing ROI.
Responsibilities
- Performing ROI analysis to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of different marketing campaigns, including but not limited to online user behavior, conversion data, and customer journeys.
- Analyzing the effect of different channels and developing innovative strategies for experience optimization, improvement, and growth.
· · Identifying and producing benchmarks and meaningful marketing KPI dashboards across all channels to deliver monthly, keeping pace with ever-changing digital trends and developments.
· · Developing custom marketing dashboard concepts for client reporting via Excel or other formats.
· · Understanding and applying important drivers, industry knowledge, and analytics in generating business reporting on campaign strategy performance and discovering of new opportunities to propel further growth.
· · Identifying client objectives and advising on suitable measurement strategies.
· · Using methodical performance analysis to report on key cross-channel metrics, analyze and interpret trends, and provide actionable insights to influence/support marketing campaign strategies.
· · Delivering regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis documentation to clients, presenting results in person or via conference calls, and influencing conversion optimization strategies with solid analytical data.
· · Assisting in educating clients on the benefits of various marketing and the importance of measurement and performance optimization.
· · Spotting potential to implement innovative new methodologies and improve analytical procedure.
· · Using available data sources to deep dive and troubleshoot campaign (and overall) performance issues and propose methodical optimization tests, both on-site and campaign based.
· · High level of experience working with data analysis techniques, analytical software and platforms including but not limited to Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, CRM tools, and advanced Excel.
· · Studying website behavior patterns using site metric tools to analyze and optimize business results and user experience.
· · Collaborating with team members and other groups including vendor management, sales, and marketing to deliver consistent measurement, analysis, and insights.
· · Developing custom reports by vendor, activity, and category, reviewing trends in the business to tie back to how marketing revenue is tracking and to help management identify opportunities to capture or adjust initiatives related to driving marketing revenue.
· · Representing in client meetings and pitch presentations.
· · Working on special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree + 2 years’ experience or Minimum of 2 years’ experience with an Associate Degree Marketing, Web Design, Economics or other Quantitative field.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 3+ years of experience with CRM systems and email marketing platforms.
- 3+ years of experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or comparable platform.
- Experience with advanced analytics reporting and managing large data sets.
- Ability to self-teach and quickly pick up new concepts.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong level of accountability and ability to communicate across functional teams.
