Caterpillar is hiring a Parts Marketing Consultant to make data driven decisions for strategic advantage and contribute to our Percent of Parts Sales for Caterpillar branded parts growth.
As a Parts Marketing Consultant , you will be responsible for the development and execution of specialized initiatives to drive profitable parts and service revenue and Percent of Parts Sales growth. This role heavily focuses on Kits and Do-it-myself solutions.
Job Duties:
Create Do-it-myself Repair and Upgrade solutions leveraging Kits
Develop Strategies to address DIM Customer needs in Repairs and Upgrades
Communicate Dealers and Field team about the Go to Market strategy and goals;
Mentor team members within broader Parts & Service organization
Drive Percent of Parts Sales growth through development of products and programs
Delivering new products and programs globally or regionally
Gathering and providing voice of customer and voice of dealer to the engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, pricing and logistics teams
Developing, Coordinating and Presenting Training materials to various audiences
Work along with senior management in planning major programs and objectives for the Division
Forecasting/Business Planning
Drive Promotional Strategy / coordination
Competitive Analysis for Kits
Segmenting, targeting and positioning market opportunities to gain market share
Managing Parts Variance
Brand Advocate for Caterpillar branded parts
Partner with industry groups to align strategies for Kits
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree or equivalent marketing/product experience
8+ years of sales, marketing, parts or product experience
Experience and proficiency in data analysis
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong communication, presentation and training skills
Accomplished in the use of business tools for communicating ideas
Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders at all levels
Previous 6 Sigma Black Belt or project management experience
Leadership in innovation of new or improved ideas/processes
Ability to deal with sensitive issues, mentor and coach, and/or persuade others on new methods of equipment application, new technology and distribution methods
Self-starter and team player
Additional Details:
Location: Peoria or Chicago, IL; Cary, NC or Dallas, TX
Primary Interfaces: Parts Product Groups, Corporate Parts & Service Marketing Groups, Regional Parts & Service Marketing Groups, Regional District Offices, Industry Groups, Dealers, and some direct customer interface
