Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the set-up, operation, and continuous monitoring of equipment on the beverage production line.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities are to run and maintain beverage packaging equipment, labeling equipment, case packer, palletizer, filler, and blow mold.

• Set-up, operate, and continuously monitor the production line equipment
• Make adjustments to timing, equipment set up, rails, and conveyor infeed and out feeds based on the beverage packaging materials
• Complete all required documentation for tracking raw material usage/waste, quality assurance, sanitation and other check lists as assigned
• Monitor and ensure products are produced in specification, product weight, safety seal application, caps, labels, case packaging, and general packaging and palletization of the product
• Monitor and ensure each product is produced with an accurate date code for production and or expiration
• Complete basic trouble shooting tasks and resolve basic to moderate machine operational difficulties.
• Working knowledge and experience operating beverage manufacturing machinery - effectively threading wrap/labels, adjusting infeed/outfeeds, clearing jams and ensuring decreased down time due to operator error.
• Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
• Line change over tasks including but not limited to clearing the line of the prior product completed at the end of a production run, retrieving, and setting up the materials needed for the next production run, and adjusting equipment for the beverage size and packaging requirements
• Must follow good manufacturing practices and ensure the production of safety quality food product
• Follow policy and procedures as outlined in operational manuals and standard operating procedures
• Complete on the job training tasks ensuring operational knowledge is shared with all co workers
• Employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Learn and adhere to safety and security policies and procedures.
• Follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures and report any deficiencies.
• Must have reliable and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience Preferred but not needed - WE WILL TRAIN YOU!

Understanding of production procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices

Teamwork and communication skills

Must be willing to get trained.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must be at least 18 years old

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform repetitious work.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to stand up to 80% of shift.

Squatting, and pushing/pulling up to 30% of shift.

Twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting up to 80% of shift.
