Maintenance Technician Job at Sandpiper Vacation Rentals
We are looking for a maintenance technician to join our vacation rental company along 30A. We currently have 2 full time maintenance techs and want to add a 3rd. The main job of the tech will be to do maintenance inspections before arrivals and take work orders for repairs needed. We prefer someone with general maintenance experience and a specialty skill would be a bonus. You would be required to work weekends and be on a on call rotation for emergencies. We would like a respectful individual with good customer service skills as you will be in contact with guests and owners. We prefer that you live somewhat close to the Santa Rosa Beach area. Must be able to pass a background check and have reliable transportation. We have a great team and look forward to meeting you!
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, switches, fixtures, fans etc.)
- Perform work orders and keep records of daily work
- Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure functionality (changing filters, clearing drain lines)
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, pool, security and perform repairs when needed)
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (painting, carpentry, pressure washing, etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (appliance delivery, furniture moving etc.)
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Problem-solving skills
- Audio/ Video WIFI knowledge
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- On call
