This position is based in Buffalo Grove, IL.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Communicate with Line Lead Production to ensure proper product is consistently available for the area of influence and maximized run times.
o Able to adjust equipment as necessary during the production run.
o May be required to disassemble & assemble the equipment down and prepare for cleaning.
o Participate in functional training of co-workers to maintain efficiency and coverage during operation.
o Complete all required reports, documentation, etc.
o Make setting adjustments on equipment as authorized during the production run.
o Ensure that the equipment to be operated is in good mechanical condition by visual inspection, identifying any problems, and contacting maintenance for repair. Participate in Preventive Maintenance on Sundays.
o Utilizes partnerships and communication with support department (maintenance, QA, sanitation, warehouse) to ensure efficient problem solving for day-to-day issues.
o Setup, calibrate, monitor, run and troubleshoot to ensure efficient performance of machinery: Cheese shredder, Peppametic, Riser sauce depositor, Babb oven, Spiral freezer, wrapping equipment, metal detector, x-ray, and check-weigher. Machinery with simple PLC mechanisms and/or more complex machinery compared to Level 1.
o Perform all SPC checks, record, and modify equipment to ensure correct product operational ranges are maintained.
o Ensure that the operation complies with GMPs, safety, quality, SOP’S, and that the equipment is in good mechanical condition by visual inspection, identifying any problems, and contact maintenance if repairs are needed.
o Ensure that the operation complies with GMPs, safety, quality, and SOPs.
o Understand and conform to all SPC enforcement practices.

REQUIREMENTS
o Computer literate with demonstrated skill in manufacturing applications and MS Office programs a must
o Experience with machine operation in a food manufacturing environment
o Material handling experience preferred
o Ability to work overtime, weekends, or irregular hours
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
o High School diploma or GED preferred
o Requires Basic English verbal and written skills
o Must be able to complete required documentation and maintain appropriate records in English
Bi-lingual is a plus
