Seeking a Food Manufacturing Machine Operator to work with one of our clients located in the Vero Beach. This position pay's $20-$21hr & offers great benefits once hired. Working Monday Thru Friday (9hr) shifts and off on Wednesday's.

This role will be responsible for starting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, cleaning and performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines under the conditions of good manufacturing practices.

Machine Operator Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize total productive maintenance (TPM) concepts and practices to keep machines operating.
• Resolves day to day technical problems with processing equipment and systems to ensure equipment compliance with production procedures and process specifications.
• Follows GMPs ,food safety practices and maintain an audit ready status at all times.
• Monitor material flow
• Turn valves or move controls to admit, drain, separate, filter, clarify, mix, or transfer materials
• Examine samples to verify qualities such as clarity, cleanliness, consistency, dryness, or texture.
• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory analysis.
• Install, maintain, or repair hoses, pumps, filters, or screens to maintain equipment using hand tools.
• Set up and operate one or multiple production machines following established procedures and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment to ensure product adheres to specifications and adjustments, or parameter changes as necessary, to maintain product specifications
• Using mechanical skills, disassemble, clean, and reassemble processing equipment as needed.
• Ability to write Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s) and work instructions.
• Safely perform work according to SOPs, GLPs, and GMPs. Injuries must be reported upon occurrence to your manager.
• Dependent on production needs, employees should be prepared to work “shift work,” which could involve rotating shifts. Shifts schedules could be 8, 10, or 12 hrs—rotations, which could include weekends.
• Perform department sanitation responsibilities daily in a manner which promotes and ensures food safety.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years’ experience working in a food manufacturing environment is preferred. Able to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Experience in equipment and process troubleshooting. Must have an aptitude for problem solving.
• Excellent knowledge of OSHA regulations and GMP standards
• Must be able to move/lift 50 lbs occasionally and should be able to climb a ladder and work on elevation if needed.·
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Attention to detail.
