Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse-Home Health (Travel)

Classification: Temporary Part-Time, Fulll-Time, Hourly

We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse that is passionate about providing compassionate care to patients. The ideal candidate will be interested in working in both a clinical and administrative role, with the ability to work independently as well as under the supervision of others. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to take on a leadership role and flourish in our supportive and growing organization. This position will be travelling to the patients home to provide care.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all staffing, staffing levels, and personnel are planned and in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Provide direct patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians regarding dosage, duration, and frequency of treatment.
• Monitor vital signs and other patient conditions, including skin and mucous membranes, to assess changes in condition; document, and report changes to appropriate agency personnel.
• Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and health maintenance visits.
• Obtain vital signs manually or electronically; monitor automated blood gas analyzers; practice proper monitoring techniques to ensure accurate patient readings.
• Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and health maintenance visits.
• Determine if patients are stable enough to be discharged from the emergency department.
• Check patient glucose levels throughout shift.
