Logistics Dispatcher

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher that acts as the first point of contact for our drivers and customers. This position is responsible for management of loads, tracking, routes, creating schedules for the timely delivery of products, communication with drivers, and billing information with the goal of exceeding customer expectations and supporting business growth. Responsibilities

• Dispatching all modes of transportation.
• Manage customer requests for service in a professional and timely manner.
• Create and maintain transportation schedules, driver assignments, and performance/tracking information to insure service expectations are met.
• Handle customer complaints and investigate service issues.
• Assist with customer billing.
• Recommend process improvements to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
• Execute and promote a safe and professional work environment.
• Support new business development.
• Support driver requests for service / assistance.
• Assist with special projects and assignments as business dictates.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
• Experience in the transportation industry and/or coordinating transportation activity.
• Customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Positive, professional demeanor, communication (written and verbal), and attitude.
• Time management skills to insure assigned responsibilities are handled in an efficient and safe manner.
• Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software and processes.
• Experience with drayage and container management is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with international shipping/freight forwarding is a plus, but not required.
