expansion of the highly successful Cossetta’s, retail market, eatery and “Eventi” Catering, as
well as the introduction of our new Pasticceria and rooftop restaurant “Louis Ristorante”, we

Job Position: Line Cook

Department: Eatery

Job Purpose: Responsible for cooking, preparing and displaying all designated menu food items for customer consumption.

Compensation B.O.Q: $17.61-$18.50

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provides prompt, courteous customer service.
  • Heats, cooks & prepares all line menu items according to procedure.
  • Ensures & maintains on-the-spot quality controls, (e.g. re-pans or removes line products per standards).
  • Monitors, rotates & refills quantity levels on serving line & back-up area.
  • Maintains proper food handling, storage & sanitation standards.
  • Knows and provides information about Cossetta’s menu products.
  • Ensures all menu items are presented & displayed attractively.
  • Prepares, assembles & responds to server requests, and special orders, (e.g. W.A.Y.S., etc.)
  • Prepares & sets-up/breaks down line station equipment & small wares.
  • Inventories, stocks & rotates all line food items.
  • Re-works previous day’s products on food line or transfers to kitchen for “plan B”
  • Anticipates & prepares for fluctuating business periods.
  • Maintains Cleanliness & appearance of station, equipment & small wares.
  • Adheres to all company safety regulations & working rules.
  • Supports & assists kitchen production during slow restaurant periods.
  • Attends & participates in staff meetings & special functions.
  • Performs all station & community close activities.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations and work rules.
  • Safeguards stock and inventory from theft; notifies management of problem incidents.
  • Controls expenses by exercising car in the use of all equipment, supplies, small wares and inventories.
  • Accepts instruction from Department Lead persons.
  • Performs all other tasks assigned.
