The ideal candidate will have experience providing office support in a fast-paced high-volume organization and will have knowledge of the Paid Family and Medical Leave ( PFML) processes and procedures within the administrative office. This position is full-time and permanent and is primarily telework but may need to occasionally participate in activities within the office.
As our Office Assistant 3, you will be providing a wide range of clerical duties and tasks regarding the Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) Program. You will support Appeals Specialists by performing a variety of complex clerical duties such as preparing and processing documents and reports, maintaining databases, and responding to routine inquiries concerning Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) claims processing appeals and continued claims. If you are meticulous and have an eye for accuracy, have good communication and organizational skills, and thrive being a go-to person, then we want you to apply.
You will review and process a variety of forms that have no adjudicative decision such as Appeals requests, looking for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with rules and policy. Additionally, you'll compose and send basic correspondence regarding a variety of PFML forms (such as Power of Attorney or out-of-state conditional waivers) to employers, employees, and employer agents.
Some of what you'll be doing:
- Perform data entry for processed forms in the paid family and medical leave (PFML) program system.
- Organize, prepare, track and log statuses on a variety of clerical projects for further processing by staff, including appeals.
- Ensure quality data entry in multiple applications by ensuring all data fields are completed.
What You Bring:
High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of clerical experience.
A related AA degree or paralegal certificate may substitute for experience
Additional Requirement of Employment:
- Must be able to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) Claim & Benefit Information Review.

A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine series.
