Distingushed, Reputable Law Firm with offices nationwide is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated associate attorney with 1 + years of experience in Labor & Employment - OR - any other Insurance Defense Litigation to work with a team in itsMIAMI office.
IDEAL CANDIDATE will have experience in some of these practice areas IN FLORIDA: labor and employment, insurance defense litigation, civil litigation. We will also consider brand new attorneys who were just licensed in FL as an entry-level position! We will train you on Labor & Employment substantive law if you have no L&E experience.
MUST BE LICENSED IN - AND - LIVE IN THE STATE OF FL!
JOB DUTIES include pre-suit, initial pleadings, written discovery, taking/defending depositions, mediation, and trial. Preparing with expert witnesses for depositions, taking expert witness depositions, meeting with clients, responding to demand letters, court hearings, substantive motions, preparing and arguing MSJs, complex legal research & writing, status reports to carriers, settlement negotations, and managing all files assigned to you. Handling Labor and Employment cases in Federal and State Courts in FL. Should be highly independent, organized and able to multi-task.
