The Junior Accountant position will assist with basic accounts receivable and accounts payable, journal entries and reconciliations, data entry, filing and other administrative duties. This position will have the opportunity to work with all levels of the Accounting Team with opportunities for growth and development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage employee expense reports, coding and reconciliation into accounting system
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist A/P with patient refunds, trials and studies payments and co-management payments
- Download and enter utility bills
- Assist with additional A/P tasks as assigned
- Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly sales tax filing
- Assist with preparation of 1099s
- Perform other duties, projects and analysis as needed to support the Accounting Team
- Cross train on Bank and Cash Reconciliations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- One year experience in a similar role
- Basic to intermediate Excel knowledge
- Minimum Associates degree required
- Experience with Netsuite a plus, but not required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
