Essential Job Functions

-Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service

-Prepare cuts of meat

-Comply with meat code date policy

-Answer telephones when necessary

-Comply with Corporate policies

-Promote and follow Company initiatives

-Comply with all Food Safety guidelines and standards

-Perform duties of meat counter clerk as necessary

-Complete the following tasks as part of the daily routine: Rework the product, set up service case, write cutting list and produce items for display according to Company policy, cut product for service meat case lineup for the following day, rework product from afternoon pull, grind all shop trim, clean work area, fill and face freezer, level meat case, follow up with Food Manager or PIC prior to leaving for the day to verify merchandise selection and appropriate fill levels, break down freight and organize meat freezer/cooler

Minimum Qualifications:

-High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of two years retail meat cutting experience; or combination of education and experience

-Minimum 18 years of age

-Ability to pass a drug test

-Ability to organize/prioritize task/projects

-Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift and work overtime as needed

-Accuracy/attention to detail

-Familiarity with meat cutting terms and processes

Wage is dependent on previous work experience.

Shifts vary through out the week to meet the needs of our customers, starting as early as 5am and as late as 7pm, weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
