Onehome is looking for an IV Authorization Coordinator
Our IV Authorization Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of the referral/prior authorization department, including all phases of referral, and authorization of managed care patients. Utilizes medical knowledge when responding to payer queries.
What to expect in your role:
- Independently process, pay and or pend routine and complex health and prescription claims in accordance with assigned Plan(s), ensuring quality and quantity standards are consistently met
- Use telephone or computer to obtain additional information and payments from members
- Provide telephone customer service to participants and providers regarding routine eligibility, benefits and claim status
- Perform routine administrative and clerical tasks to remain current on procedures and claims processing resources and to update claims system data
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
- Must understand payer contracts and requirements
- Ability to request Fee for Services authorization
Requirements:
- Certified Pharmacy Techincian
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare industry
- Weekends shift as needed
- Knowledgeable in both Medicare and Medicaid
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing, preferred
- Automated pharmacy systems
- Demonstrates IV Laminar Flow Hood, proficiency preparing within chemo hood.
- Ability to write routine correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Complies with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the company.
