Preparing Adolescents and Adults for Life (PAAL) Downingtown, PA 19335
We are seeking an IT Coordinator / Media Specialist to join our team!
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Networking:
- Knowledge of SMB shares, FTP file sharing, using network attached storage
- How to access and configure network hardware including routers, access points, switches
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, static vs. dynamic IP addresses, how to assign devices a static IP
- Knowledge of port forwarding and other firewall features
- Experience with IP cameras and NVRs is preferred, but not required
- Certifications are preferred (A+, Cisco, Google), but not required
Web Development:
- Comfortable using WordPress to manage content
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS a big plus but not required
- Comfortable using FTP and installing server-side web software
- Comfortable editing domain DNS records
Media:
- Some experience with graphic design (Photoshop, Paint.NET, GIMP)
- Some experience with video production and editing (Premiere Pro, Vegas, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut)
- Familiarity with modern video codecs, file formats and methods to convert between them
- Experience with CLI apps ffmpeg and youtube-dl is a bonus
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred, but not required
Microsoft
- Experience with Office 365 administration
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) to create and edit documents and designs for printing
Computer hardware / general
- Understand user requirements and procedures
- Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
- Determine cost, timetable, and compatibility for new systems
- Previous experience in IT, computer science, or other related fields
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Knowledge of current and previous generations desktop, laptop and AIO, etc. PC hardware
- Able to diagnose which parts are damaged / failing in a PC and what their replacement should be
- Ensure backups of critical data are up to date and are regularly tested
- Able to install, configure and troubleshoot Windows and Mac operating systems
- Expertise with iOS and Android mobile operating systems. Especially iOS.
- Available to troubleshoot basic IT issues for other staff on short notice
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff and students are required to wear a mask during the entire work day.
PAAL's buildings are regularly cleaned and sanitized by a third party professional team.
Staff AND students are required to take a COVID-19 test bi-weekly, paid for by PAAL.
