Select Sires Inc. | United States, OH, Plain City Select Sires, Inc. seeks a Human Resources Manager who will direct all people functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of Select Sires, Inc, the ethical and social consciences of business and society, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. The role assists and advises senior management on Human Resources issues by being aware of policies, practices and trends within the industry and local areas. We are eager to find an HR manager who easily connects with people and has a detail-oriented mindset to handle the changing nature of the workforce.Objectives of this RoleOversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and enhancing HR existing systems and processes and evaluating future systems for improvementMaintain and boost employee programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, time off, and other personnel packagesImplement employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; partnering with broker to evaluate and award benefit contract bids; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programsAssist with recruitment efforts, and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programsEnsure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal, state, and local requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining recordsDaily and Monthly ResponsibilitiesSupport departments in the development and delivery of strategic HR plans to fit the overall business directionPlan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee concerns, training managers to coach and discipline employees, and counseling employees and supervisorsChampion the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall visionMaintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending HR policies and proceduresBuild strong relationships with external vendors, fostering trust and promoting collaborationHandle confidential matters with discretionRequirementsGeneralist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development. Well-developed administrative and time-management skills. Strong management skills - principles and peopleImpeccable communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal/leadership skills, and ethical mindsetCombination of education and experience working in Human ResourcesSHRM-CP or PHR certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hireFamiliarity with HR software and MS Office.
