Glasgow State Nursing Facility (GSNF) may be the place for you. We are a state-of-the-art 100-bed long-term care nursing facility for individuals with mental illness or intellectual disabilities. We are seeking a Human Resource Adminr. Institutional to join our team in caring and improving the daily lives of our residents.
This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment. The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides Human Resource liaison services between Glasgow State Nursing Facility management and Central Office personnel. Performs other duties as required.
- Provides liaison services by planning, assigning, supervising and reviewing the work of employees in the Human Resources Department within the facility.
- Maintains personnel records for the facility. Completes and supervises facility payroll preparation and submission. Reviews and evaluates request for personnel and position actions, makes recommendations related to those requests. Facilitates transfers, promotions, reclassifications, and any other personnel action request.
- Provides technical assistance to employees and management in areas of staffing, classification, recruitment, benefits and employee relations. Provides guidance with state/federal laws, regulations and practices to maintain compliance. Conducts new employee orientation sessions.
- Arranges interviews for applicants, consults with and advises management about selection process guidelines, communicates with applicants concerning employment opportunities and procedures.
- Interprets, enforces and assists in the development of personnel policies and procedures for Glasgow State Nursing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer skills.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of professional experience in business administration, management, or personnel.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year for year basis. Prior military experience will only substitute if the individual received an honorable discharge, discharge under honorable conditions, or a general discharge.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
