We are looking for a full-time Human Factors Engineer III to join our team!

0+ years experience, $85,000 - $95,000 /year + bonuses and benefits
5+ years experience, $110,000 - $125,000 /year + bonuses and benefits
10+ years experience, $120,000 - $170,000 /year + bonuses and benefits
About the Job
This is a full-time position. This role will support the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) Mission Data Processing Applications Provider (MDPAP) product. MDPAP is modernizing missile warning ground systems, providing U.S. Space Force Guardians with the best tools for defending our nation.
What you’ll do:
- You will be part of a cross-functional Agile team working with other engineers and designers, ensuring compliance with human factors standards and best practices while supporting the development of a usable and mission-effective system
- Interface with MBSE team to support modeling of human behavior and workflows
- Interface with teams across the project to provide human factors expertise and analysis
- Conduct analyses such as task analyses, error analyses, workload evaluations, heuristic evaluations, human performance modeling, etc.
- Plan and execute user evaluation events and usability studies
- Create and maintain artifacts such as compliance reports, human engineering design approach documents, human engineering test reports, user evaluation event reports, etc.
- Apply standards and best practices such as MIL-STD-1472, SMC-S-023, etc.
- Emphasize the importance of human engineering and the impact of human performance on system performance
- Work independently on complex tasks, collaborate with peers to achieve project objectives, and mentor junior systems engineers
- Collaborate effectively with other teams and customer representatives
Experience & Qualifications
Required:
- Must be a U.S citizen able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in a relevant discipline
- Experience developing large, complex military systems
- Experience with a range of human factors analyses and tools
- Experience with agile system development processes
- Understanding of the entire system engineering lifecycle, and especially human system integration considerations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) approaches, tools, and languages
- Experience with modeling and simulation including descriptive and analytical modeling of human behavior
