Location: Mission Valley, San Diego
This position requires traveling to sites, on average 1-4 times a month.

Pay: $68,000 - $72,000 (DOE) plus $200 monthly auto allowance

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting the HR strategy across multiple Storage Facilities throughout San Diego County and San Bernardino County.

This position will serve as a primary point of contact for our employees and will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, termination, performance appraisals, resolving employee issues, answering payroll and benefit questions, and providing reliable and accurate information in a manner consistent with the company's policies, procedures, as well as applicable laws using exemplary customer service and professionalism.

General Responsabilites:

  • Administers full-cycle recruitment activities including working with hiring managers, posting job advertisements, responding to hiring needs, posting opportunities, reviewing resume submissions, scheduling & conducting interviews, extending offer letters and tracking of background checks.
  • Administer bi-weekly timecards, wage garnishments, payroll status changes and prepare reports for payroll processing such as mileage reimbursements.
  • Plan monthly facility schedules, coordinate staffing needs around time off requests and be the main point of contact for call-outs and no shows and coordinate immediate coverage.
  • Analyzes, interprets, develops and implements HR policies, programs and procedures.
  • Takes an active role in performance management and use of corrective actions to address job performance and other behavioral issues
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution
  • Coordinates HR related forms and documentation (e.g., LOAs, W/C claims, employment verification, filing, COBRA, benefit enrollment, etc.)
  • Assigns compliance trainings, including Sexual Harassment trainings.
  • Research and stay up to date on legal, regulatory, and legislation changes and updates regarding employment laws and HR-related issues and regulatory matters.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.

Education. Training. and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • At least three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, laws and administration.
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Experience with an HRIS System.
  • Related HR certifications preferred.
