Elite Rehabilitation and Care Center in Vestavia Hills is home to Independent residents as well as seniors needing short term or long-term nursing care. The leader of the team has been with the community over 11 years. Duties Include:
Direct overall operations of the housekeeping department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations; Coordinate housekeeping services and activities with other related departments; Perform evaluations of housekeeping personnel; Perform administrative duties as necessary; Delegate a responsible staff member to act in your behalf when absent from the facility; Assist the Infection Control Coordinator in identifying, evaluating, and classifying routine and job related functions involving potential exposure to blood/body fluids; Attend department head meetings; Serve on various committees; Assist in the recruitment of housekeeping personnel; Determine staffing needs for the department and assign a sufficient number of personnel for each shift; Schedule department work hours; Make daily rounds to assure that personnel are performing required duties; Perform continued staff training.
