Home Health - LPN Job at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients ranging in age from adolescent through geriatric. The LPN utilizes the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare’s Mission and Vision Statements and functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization. Practices in compliance with professional knowledge and standards of clinical practice and in accordance with the laws and regulations of Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party payers. Demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The LPN collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of improved health and quality outcomes for patients and blends compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an LPN program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care medical/surgical nursing or home health setting
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a LPN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required through AHA
Valid Georgia Drivers license required. Employee must comply with all applicable laws related to legally operating a vehicle
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Nursing Experience in a Home Health Setting preferred
Certifications in wound management and or IV Therapy preferred
