Grill Attendant / Cashier Job at Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls
Mason's Famous Lobster rolls is looking for new team members for our brand new location in Seattle that opened in August 2022. We a grill attendant / cashier positon open. $22 per hour guaranteed ($18 per hour plus tips, most locations make $7-$12 in tips per hour. We'll guarantee at least $22 per hour in total, but our employees generally make $25-35 per hour). WA food workers card or WA Class 12 or 13 permit is a major plus. Looking for someone availible weekends and weekdays and able to do 30 hours a week. Will work with you to get a set schedule once trained.
Grill Attendant / Cashier
Report to Shift Lead on Duty.
a. Description
A grill attendant’s role is to prepare all orders in a timely manner while maintaining the cleanliness of the grill area and behind the counter. The grill attendant prepares customer orders according to the ticket, restocks food items needed to prepare orders, and helps to maintain the cleanliness of area behind the counter/grill.
Note: Grill attendants should be at least 16 years of age (age restrictions may vary by state), have reliable transportation, have the ability to work long periods of time in front of a grill, prepare food orders and be able to lift up to ten pounds.
b. Responsibilities
¨ Responsibilities may include the following.
¨ Prepare orders according to customer ticket specifications.
¨ Follow all policies for correct use of recipes and menu items (correct ingredients, amounts, temperature, and presentation).
¨ Restock shelves, cabinets, bins, soup warmers and coolers behind the counter with items necessary to prepare orders.
¨ Answer phones to handle questions, to take delivery/to-go orders, and to record messages. Communicate messages promptly and accurately to manager/owner, etc., as necessary.
¨ Keep the coffee station, beverage center, and counter stocked with all necessary items.
¨ Wipe down tables and restock condiments/napkin holders when able.
¨ Perform dish-washing duties during shift and prior to leaving.
¨ Check the bathroom for toilet paper, paper towels, and soap throughout the shift.
¨ Empty full trash cans in the bathroom, dining area, and behind the counter.
¨ Notify a manager of all customer complaints and POS System issues immediately.
¨ Perform all other related duties as requested.
3. Counter Attendant / Cashier
Report to General Manager or Manager on Duty.
a. Description
A counter attendant’s role is to welcome each customer into the shop upon arrival in a welcoming and professional manner, take customer orders, answer questions about menu items and specials, prepare items for orders, and help to maintain the cleanliness of the shop.
Note: Counter attendants should be at least 18 years of age (age restrictions may vary by state), have reliable transportation, have the ability to use a POS system and be able to lift up to ten pounds.
b. Responsibilities
¨ Responsibilities may include the following:
¨ Welcome customers, talk about menu/specials with first-time customers, and answer questions about the menu.
¨ Use POS system to take customer orders and print tickets for those working grill.
¨ Handle cash, credit card, gift cards, and discounts, etc., accurately and provide customer with receipt.
¨ Take large and/or special orders and inform management immediately (if applicable).
¨ Prepare soup, drinks, to-go bags, and side items for grill, when not with customers.
¨ Answer phones to answer questions and to take delivery/to-go orders, and to record messages. Communicate messages promptly and accurately to manager/owner, etc., as necessary.
