Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer will report to the Director of Graphics and will work closely with the entire Design Team on variety of projects (identity design, collateral, and packaging). The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. Their designs are required for a vast variety of projects. He/she must be able to receive and follow creative direction from concept to print while undertaking multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain brand standards including images, messages, style, logo usage and other graphic elements
• Apply creative thinking, research and problem solving to translate creative briefs into communication solutions through design.
• Produce compelling ideas and creative thinking via brainstorming meetings
• Execute clean and compelling designs for a wide range of marketing communications materials
• Illustrate concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size, style, and related aesthetic concepts
• Ensure that design solutions meet brand standards and requirements (style, structure, tone, etc.)
• Participate in the review process; ensure all design solutions meet quality output

Required Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Solid understanding of design principles, trends, and best practices in graphic design
• Desire to learn, understand and apply new technologies
• Highly creative with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• CPG/OTC/Retail– Web, packaging and design experience with a CPG or tool products company, or a fast-paced, highly-innovative consumer business, supporting both new business/brand development work as well as ongoing brands and businesses. Preferably brands that are marketed in the Home Improvement and big box retailers, along with strong online presence.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Retail package design is a plus

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design/Graphic/Adv. Design or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience as a graphic designer or related field
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to efficiently handle multiple projects and deadlines
