Bishop Cider Company started as a Dallas-based hard cider company and has grown into a beverage-experience powerhouse. The company is comprised of separate, yet symbiotic, strategies:

• Own premise: There are currently numerous own-premise locations (Bishop Arts Tasting Room, Cidercade in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin, and Wild Acre taproom) and more on the way.
• Wholesale: Manufacture and wholesale of alcoholic beverages (hard cider, wine, hard kombucha, hard seltzer) to 8 states.
• Co-manufacturing: Co-packing beverages for other emerging brands, both alcoholic and non.

We are looking for a graphic designer with a passion for creativity, quality and innovation to join our in-house creative team. Our marketing department is highly collaborative, where we strive to continuously elevate the Bishop Cider, Cidercade and Wild Acre brands in everything we do. The design professional we seek will be involved in all phases of design from initial concept through completion. Responsibilities range from branding, digital design and layout, print collateral, packaging, photo manipulation and beyond. Our ideal candidate works efficiently, pushes creatively, and is highly organized and detail oriented. Experience designing for web or working with motion designers is a plus!

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work closely with creative and marketing teams on developing new brand campaigns and strategies.
• Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize, ideate, strategize, design, and produce packaging such as cans, boxes, trays, and keg collars for both Bishop Cider and Wild Acre Brewing.
• Design, maintain, and update customized Squarespace websites for each of our brands.
• Work with In-house Interior Designer on signage and graphics needed throughout each unique space for both Wild Acre and Cidercade locations
• Collaborate with creative and marketing teams on graphic needs for social media content creation
• Collaborate with the design team to create collateral and merchandise for all brands
• Work with sales team to design sales sheets and presentation decks

Required Skills:

• Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, visual hierarchy, layout and typography
• Passionate about all things creative. From graphic design, typography, and illustration to photography and motion graphics.
• A track record of successful end-to-end project concepting, design, and delivery.
• Proactive in managing workload and gathering necessary information to produce high quality work.
• Mastery of industry-standard software to create logos, design reports and complete other projects.
• The ability to clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices.
• A compelling portfolio with projects showcasing skills that are relevant to your business’s visual content goals.
• An excellent eye for detail. Consistent application of brand style guide conventions.
• Possess editorial and proofreading skills.
• Ability to self-direct and work independently, while also maintaining a highly collaborative environment with a team
• High level of effective interpersonal and communication skills. An active pursuer of clarity and openness, encouragement and kindness.
• Broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions
• Ability to handle a variety of project types, from small, quick-turn requests, to large-scale projects involving seamless collaboration between multiple team members

Desired Experience

• Bachelor of Arts or Design degree’s preferred with minimum 2yrs experience
• Product packaging design
• Working with print vendors and understand the process of translating digital colors to print
• Adobe Creative Suite (Especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
• Web Design is a huge plus
• Experience designing emails via Mail Chimp
• Collaboration with motion graphics artists is a plus
• Experience working with Monday project management software is a plus
