DESCRIPTION
The General Manager must proactively plan and manage all aspects of the business including the sales, hiring, training, budgets, inventory, product assortment, merchandising, repairs and maintenance, safety, and the overall customer experience as well as café, events, and personal shopping departments, and work with the necessary corporate partners to do so.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Drive customer development activities among individual team members to cultivate new and existing customer
- Directly handles all customer complaints and feedback and follows up on decisions and preventative training to prevent future problems
- Quarterly analysis of store P&L to identify opportunities and develops action plans to tighten controllable expenses and bring extra dollars to the bottom line
- Partner with the corporate team to ensure product assortment is consistent with market needs and sales goals
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:
- Manages the daily fiscal responsibilities of the store, including staffing levels, budgets, financial goals, cash handling analysis
- Manage efficient back of house operations
- Manages the operational responsibilities of the store, including: loss prevention, repairs and maintenance, cleanliness, inventory control, promotional activity and visual standards and ensure consistency with established operational procedures
- Plans, coordinates, and ensures execution of all sales promotions in a timely manner and ensures all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times in order to do so
- Point person for all POS service and training
TALENT MANAGEMENT:
- Continuously train, coach, and provide qualitative feedback to all staff
- Completes monthly schedules for the store
- Network and recruit to build a pipeline of diverse, highly skilled talent
- Manage and motivate the team to consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual store sales plan
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- 5-7 years senior retail sales management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in hospitality/restaurant industry preferred
- Experience with Netsuite and Shopify preferred
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time
- Excellent organizational, decision making, problem solving, multi-tasking, follow-up, and teambuilding skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both internal and external customers as well as corporate partners
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule which will include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results

- Comp range $80-$110k based on experience
