GA positions require a two-year commitment to the College. GA’s cannot complete the MBA program in less than two calendar years.

You must first apply and be accepted into the MBA program in order to be selected for a Graduate Assistant position.

You must receive a GA position before being enrolled in any MBA courses; once you have been enrolled in any MBA courses you are no longer eligible to receive a GA position.

Individuals must remain in good standing in the graduate program in order to continue in the GA position.

POSITION SUMMARY

GA - Web Administration and Social Media emphasis – Assist the Raven Store Director in daily operations, Raven Store web-site and social media sites of the campus store. Serve as a resource person for student staff in the absence of the store director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for the campus store social media sites: Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest account.
• Web Administrator of the online Raven Store. Oversee and maintain the online site: setting up new product, product photography, maintaining inventory levels and online store staff training.
• Visual presentation of the Raven Store: displays, signage and product presentation.
• Assist with Point-of Sale (POS) system: cashier, opening, closing, balancing, and generating monthly reports.
• Attend vendor meeting with the store director; view and select product, design graphics, create product plans and generate PO’s.
• Actively involved with receiving merchandise: receipts, pricing, stock presentation, store displays and invoice payment.
• Inventory: prepare and participate in inventory and reconciling inventory (semi-annually)
• Assist with the online Raven Store: processing orders, maintain inventory levels and setting up new product.
• Work with the store director in planning and coordinating store advertising.
• Assist with planning special events on campus: move-in, football game outposts, special campus events and graduation.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

• Retail experience, Marketing or Management is preferred but not required.
• Understand and proficient using social media: Facebook, Instagram, and Snap Chat.
• Photography experience and use of Photoshop preferred but not required.

Compensation

• Full tuition waiver (books and fees not included) with completion and approval of Tuition Benefit Form each semester.
