WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Full-Time Dining Room Service Assistant who is responsible for smooth operation of the dining room and fine dining experience under the supervision of the Dietary Services Managers. They will coordinate dining room activities and meal services as signed by supervisor. They will assure that resident’s needs and expectations are met and will work with dining room staff so the dining room functions productively. They are responsible for completion of records, reports, and billing paperwork for the department.

SCHEDULE:

• Friday – Tuesday ( 11:30-8:00pm/ 7:00-3:30pm)
• $800 SIGN ON BONUS
• Rate of Pay – $25 (non-tip environment) PLUS shift differentials ($0.40-$1.10)
• Shifts will include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed ( meals included)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum three year experience in food service, with at least one year in lead Server role.
• Country Club or Retirement Community experience a plus.
• Able to provide guidance in a positive manner.
• Strong communications skills and ability to direct staff for smooth dining room experience.
• Ability to make informed judgments.
• Understanding of needs and physical issues of seniors.
• Knowledge of dining room procedures and service techniques in food service capacity.

REQUIREMENTS

Required to maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to staff and residents. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services, including TB testing and fingerprint clearances required by California DSS/CCL. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing sufficient to perform the tasks required.
