About the position:
Our Food Service Cook/Trainer provides appropriate supervision and food service related training to participants assigned to the Food Service Program, and assist in the overall preparation, safe handling and proper storage of food required for in-house, catering and contract meals along with daily assigned duties.
We prefer that you possess a High School Diploma or GED, and experience in food service is required; we will consider relevant experience in lieu of education; must be able to follow instructions, read and follow written recipes/menus, and maintain records (electronically and/or manually).
You must have the ability to continuously stand/walk/bend, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and acceptable results of background checks including criminal history and background check.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday (6 a.m. to 2 p.m., minus 1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
Location: Key Industries, 150 Van Buren St., Newark, NY 14513
