Fire Sprinkler Apprentice - Winston-Salem, NC Job at Unifour Fire & Safety
Unifour Fire & Safety, a Southeastern leader in full-service fire protection inspections and repair, has an immediate entry level position for a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice. Experience welcome, but not required. This is a great opportunity to begin a career in Fire Protection inspections. We hire HEROES – Unifour Fire & Safety is a military friendly workplace.
Job Duties:
- Will train under a seasoned and licensed individual to learn the aspects of Fire system inspections, service, and repairs.
- Candidate will learn fire codes, procedures for service & inspection and company culture of service
- There will be milestones, training classes and testing during the first 2 years – pay will increase when each milestone is reached
- Maintain safe and secure work environment by following safe practices
- Maintain records by documenting installation, service and testing
- Interacting with clients in the field to ensure the work is being completed properly and timely
- Pay Starts at $20.00 / Hour with increases as milestones are completed
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must pass a drug screen & background check
- Must have a mechanical background - experience with hand/power tools
- Strong work ethic, professional attitude, honest & hard working
- Must be able to push, pull, lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use iPad/iPhone and basic computer knowledge including MicroSoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Must be comfortable with heights, working on ladders or lifts, or in confined spaces.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to work unsupervised and highly self-motivated and detail oriented
