Veterinary Medical Center of Fort Mill has an opening for a full time licensed/experienced vet tech to join our team. We are a busy, state of the art animal hospital. VMC has been providing care to the South Charlotte / Tega Cay area for over 11 years! We have 6 doctors that deliver high quality medical care to our patients, ranging from advanced orthopedic surgical/dental procedures to internal medicine work ups. The hospital is fully equipped (digital xray, digital dental xray, Idexx laboratory in house equipment, paperless records, ultrasound, and full soft tissue/orthopedic surgical suite).

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of veterinary technician experience is required
• Valid LVT/RVT is preferred, but not required
• experience with advanced dentistry and taking dental xrays required
• Able to safely restrain small animals
• Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to grow and learn

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe space for healing and Fear Free aligned nursing care
• Properly triage incoming appointments and emergencies
• Utilize Cornerstone computer software for all patient charts
• Safely obtain digital radiographs
• Obtain sterile blood and urine samples
• Operate in-house lab equipment
• Induce, intubate and properly monitor patients under anesthesia
• Assist the veterinarians with patient care
• Have the ability to work collectively as a team
• Client communication and education
