This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional, motivated and results driven Family Law Attorney to join a well-respected Family Law Practice. Our firm offers a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere with mentoring and coaching. We are seeking a motivated and experienced family law attorney with both trial experience and a solid background in managing financially heavy cases. We work closely with our attorneys to help them achieve their career goals.

Expected Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Drafting, preparing and presenting Motions, Briefs, Discovery, Orders, and Pleadings

· Prepare Subpoenas, MSA’s, AJ’s, etc.

· Prepare exhibits and trial notebooks

· Collaborate on Legal Strategy and diligently working to achieve client’s goals

· Attending Court (virtual and in-person for Lake, Cook or McHenry counties)

· Monitor and manage discovery production and incoming discovery

· Correspond with clients, opposing counsel, clerks, etc.

· Overall case management

· Prepare clients (and witnesses) for Court

· Manage all aspects of cases assigned with effective organization and time management skills

· Meet deadlines

· Conduct legal research where necessary

· Ensure accuracy of all documents prepared

General Position Requirements:

· 3-5 years of Family Law experience necessary

· Strong litigation skills, such as managing all phases of discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, electronic document production, taking and defending depositions, preparing for trial and managing trial documents

· Knowledge and ability to manage financially heavy cases

· Excellent writing, research and analytical skills

· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients and opposing counsel with professionalism and decorum

· Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

· Dedicated and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic

Other Requirements

· Must be a licensed attorney and in good standing to practice law in the State of Illinois

· Reliably able to commute to Lake Bluff, IL 60044 or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Compensation of $80,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience and bonus opportunities

(Senior positions available for attorneys with five years or more of Family Law trial experience with financially dominant cases)
