Responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public spaces. The Executive Housekeeper will lead the department so that employees perform their assignments in accordance with established brand and/or hotel standards. This individual will be an integral part of the hotel management team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
1.Create and distribute daily work assignments to ensure that all areas of the building are properly maintained in accordance with brand or hotel cleanliness standards.
2.Ensure exceptional quality of work that meets company productivity standards.
3.Hire, develop and retain housekeeping staff according to company policies and procedures.
4.Effectively respond to guest complaints concerning housekeeping service.
5.Consult with the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager on employee or guest issues as necessary to make the best possible decisions.
6.Work closely with the maintenance department by reporting maintenance issues found when inspecting rooms or public areas.
7.Regularly inspects rooms every day to ensure quality standards are being met.
8.Provide excellent customer service to guests and all team members at the hotel. Ensure the housekeeping employees also assist guests and co-workers in a positive and pleasant manner.
9.Responsible for ensuring lost and found items are reported, itemized and stored securely.
10.Check any vacant rooms for condition and possible occupancy, and taking any actions needed to resolve to place rooms as available.
11.Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage and linen. Ensure linen and supplies are stocked and ready for use by staff.
12.Report and deliver valuable items to management as early as possible after the guest has checked out.
13.Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements
- Must have experience as a hotel housekeeping supervisor
- Ability to work any day of the week and work overtime as needed. Weekends required.
- Must be able to perform all functions of the Housekeeping department if needed
- Ability to effectively communicate with team and share feedback in a positive way
- Ability to respect the privacy of guests.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred. Other languages in addition to English is a plus.

Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending forward and trunk rotation while standing or sitting
- Frequent stair climbing, squatting, kneeling and reaching both above and below shoulder
- Vision – must have the ability to adjust focus as well frequent use of close, peripheral and depth/distance vision
- Hands/Fingers – frequent use of fine motor skills
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent pushing and pulling carts of 50 lbs. or more
- Frequent forceful grip
- Occasional crawling
- Hotels with external room entrances will need the ability to travel outdoors between rooms and withstand extreme temperatures
