Bast Hatfield has been named a Top Work Place by the Times Union for 7 years running. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead progressive teams as an Estimating Coordinator or Junior Estimator at our Clifton Park, NY office.

Folks with field and/or project management experience is a plus!

Primary Work Activities

• Takeoffs, site visit reconnisaince, attend pre-bids, and vendor events
• LEARN from high-caliber experienced Estimators
• Fast-Paced communication to draw in quotes from subcontractors and vendors
• Cost Estimating under supervision & review; support the sales team
• GROW into an experienced Estimator

Qualifications

• The AMBITION to EXCEL in your career.
• IMPRESSIVE communication skills; negotiating skills a plus
• 4 years minimum experience working as an assistant estimator, assistant project manager or related role in the construction field for commercial, public works project, or industrial markets
• Work experience as a GENERAL CONTRACTOR is a plus
• BS in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred. Related degrees accepted.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Bast Hatfield Construction is a full-service self-performing general contractor completing approximately $80 to $100 million annually in commercial and public works projects primarily in the capital district region of NYS with over 160 field and support staff.

Compensation

• Salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications. VERY GENEROUS COMPENSATION for the top tier individuals we hire. Benefits include health insurance, paid vacation and holidays, company vehicle or vehicle reimbursement, fuel allowance, company phone, and retirement plan / 401K participation with PROFIT SHARING.
