Position Summary: The Estate Planning Paralegal’s main objective is serving as a case manager and ensuring the timely and efficient progress of all matters involving primarily estate planning, long-term care planning, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, from intake to drafting of documents to signing and execution of the documents. The Estate Planning Paralegal will use all available resources to ensure that the client’s needs are served in an efficient, friendly, and satisfactory manner.

Key Accountabilities: Drafting and case management for all matters involving Estate Planning, Long-Term Care Planning, Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact for all matters involving Estate Planning, Long-Term Care Planning, Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements
- Create, manage, and maintain client files (electronic and paper) in an organized manner
- Initial draft and revision of documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, deeds, and other ancillary documents as needed
- Tracking files for drafting progress, document reviews, signings, and other critical dates
- Respond to client inquiries, case updates, and information requests via email, telephone, and online portal in a timely manner
- Act as the interface between Managing Attorney and client
- Collect, organize, and analyze asset information
- Researching tax records/chain of title for deeds
- Perform other related work as assigned
Skills and Attributes:
- Passionate and strives for excellence
- Prior law firm experience in an estate paralegal role or estate legal assistant role highly preferred
- Extremely organized with ability to manage a significant number of clients, matters, documents, and tasks (i.e. multitasking)
- Highly proactive with attention to detail
- Dependable
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Highly personable and enjoys working directly with clients and other professionals
- High level of competence using technology (Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat) required and eager to learn more about technology
- Experience with Clio, Trello, and/or WealthCounsel is a plus
- Very motivated and desires to learn complicated areas of law
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Basic accounting knowledge desired
- Strong organizational/prioritization skills
- Knowledge of administrative hearing and court rules/procedures preferred
- Knowledge of legal terminology/syntax, and of the content, organization, and format of legal documents and correspondence preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
